ICT in Education - a short anecdote

On the first day I went into the primary school to run my learning experience, I was setting up my laptop in the first class room. A little 7 year old child saw me with the laptop, digital camera and mobile phone. First, she identified the phone as being the same as her dad's phone. Then, on noting all my gadgets, she said "you're cool!", the implication being that I was 'cool' because I had all this technology. If technology looks that good to a 7 year old, then I think it's the way to go in education!
