This website is dedicated to the Collaborative Lego project experience of Terri O'Sullivan, Mary T. Lynam and Nicola White. A lot of time and effort has gone in to what looks likes a very simple game. What we thought initially was going to be a simple enough process proved to be very challenging but in the end, we got a game that works and, after a lot of interraction with each other, have learned many thing about lego, sensors, board games, group work, use of WIKIs & WebCT and maybe most importantly, the whole process of getting children to learn and develop skill through the use of ICT. We ourselves have learned a lot about learning and developing skill through ICT.
Overview - This looks at the game, paying specific attention to how we built the robots and made them interact with their environment.
Aims & Objectives - This looks at the main aims and objectives of the game for students. It also presents Paperts Collaborative Constructivist theory and looks at how "Daisie in the maze" conforms to this.
Group Reflections - This looks at all aspects of group work throughout the project, from idea generation, building, testing, de-bugging through to our final thoughts and general relief when it was finally complete and it worked !!
